This place is great! Friendly easy going staff, a secluded patio to enjoy, pool room, fair prices, and good music! Short walk from the Pier. Great location. If the kitchen isn’t currently open Nickies 1971 right across the street has great food also a great staff!

Best damn bar on the island and I know the owner! Everyone is super friendly, and they make you feel at home. I even went to bar church on Sunday. Amazing place, amazing people. Did I also mention that it is also the World's #1 Bengals bar!! Love you, Jen and mom! Thank you for everything.
The Sand Bar is my cheers bar! You wanna go where everybody knows your name! This is that place for me! I don't live on Tybee, but I definitely drop-in more than once when I'm on the island! The videos below are from open mic night, every Wednesday at 8pm.
We were so excited to be visiting from Cincinnati and come across and Benagls bar on our family vacation! Mary was an awesome bartender and the owner, Jen, is so much fun! Thank you for welcoming us to the Sand Bar and talking with us for so long. It was wonderful. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone, Bengals fan or not. Best Jello shots on the island by far!
My wife and I had a GREAT time at "The Sand Bar" tonight! We met and mingled with locals and visitors from all around and we were LUCKY enough to meet the owner, Jen. GREAT place to relax after a long day at the beach and shopping. Jen and her staff, Blair (exceptionally sweet and attentive) Henny, (totally cool cat with EXCELLENT customer service) D.J. Ice, (with cool beats that kept the vibe going, And JEN, (The owner that makes you feel at home. Along with the customers from South Africa, Ohio, Sacramento, Brazil, and right here at home in Tybee. I double... TRIPPLE recommend THE SAND BAR if you want nice healthy atmosphere!!!
In town for a wedding and my mom and I were trying to find a place with cold beers and hometown vibes. Found it. I couldn't have been happier, the bartender was on his shit, plus he had the coolest Bob Ross shirt. Security/bar back was a great, awesome personality with patrons and guests which goes a long way in service. Found the bar I'll be getting my ice-cold highlifes from for the rest of my trip. Felt like my neighborhood bar back home 10/10.
